This 5-1/4-inch component system from Pioneer delivers 180 Watts of maximum power (35 Watts nominal), and offers the flexibility and improved soundstage of a component installation. The IMPP woofer cone design provides the rigidity required for powerful bass. The soft-dome tweeters can be flush- or surface-mounted, and can be swiveled to suit the listening environment once installed. The included crossovers ensure a smooth response from both speakers. Pioneer's A-Series Speakers Pioneer A-series speakers outperform factory speakers on nearly every level. Packing a powerful punch, A-Series speakers are equipped with up to three independent tweeters with reinforced woofers, so every beat is heard and felt. Featuring a bigger, better cone than most OEM speakers, the A-series boasts serious output and booming bass. Extra-sensitive tweeters play at higher frequencies and are capable of handling stronger audio signals, resulting in vocals that are crisp and clear, even when you crank the volume. TS-A1302C Features Composite IMPP Cone with Interlaced Aramid Fiber With long aramid fibers interlacing together inside, this IMPP cone design provides the strength and rigidity that powerful bass sound requires. High-density compressed internal architecture is resilient, stacks up against high power well and transfers sound quickly. The result is full-bodied, rich sound character with midrange depth that conventional IMPP cones cannot match. Butyl Rubber Surrounds Durable butyl rubber speaker surrounds won't fall apart under the stress of extreme temperatures, sunlight or time, and help Pioneer's woofers deliver serious bass. Solid Construction A-Series speakers are easy to install and built to last. From rock-solid cone construction to a heavy-duty, ultra-thick, stamped steel basket, these drivers are ready to handle booming bass and high volumes with ease. High-Quality Crossover The External -12dB/Octave HPF and LPF crossover improves the transition from mid to high frequency, for a smoother mid-range to tweeter response. Audiophile-grade capacitors and inductors are used, and all components are encased in a clear acrylic cover for protection. Fits 6"x8" Applications The included 6"x8" adapter allows this component set to also be used in many Ford and Mazda vehicles that feature a 6"x8" speaker application size. Speaker Guy Hello, in short, these are exceptional midrange and treble proved extremely flat and level 150 Hz to 20 K Hz in a laboratory environment. The setting of the car increases remarkably low below 100 Hz, so it ends up making a really flat, smooth response "in the car." This is exactly what you want. I use 4 of these with a subwoofer. But they are very strong, even without a sub. Unfortunate for me, somewhere along my path of pain to purchase and installation reference Infinity (good for), Polk, Polk Momo, Focal Points, Kenwood, Pioneer, I've reversed the polarity of the front left that made killing all screaming down. Many of those who probably would have played very well, but these are the stars! Part of the magic of these speakers is the phase plug in the middle ... small suitcase, as you see the cone. This phase plug improves the upper middle class (3-9k Hz), mainly from the axis, where it will be in a door-mounted speakers, if you are either a small hole drilled for a screw for the top-mount or drill a hole in the plastic door surface .. both easy if you have the tools .... In any case, buy component speakers coaxial instead! And install it right next WOOFER treble, not a column in the top of the door, ETC. (Tweeter on a post of a coaxial creates a sharp dip and a corresponding increase in the average response time, which reflects the tweeter posts and breaks down the shaft) if you are not the tweeter next to the woofer, the answer to your ears terrible with a series of spikes and dips are called "comb filter" effect .. because of overlap and quenching at different frequencies that are multiples of varying distance from the ear bass and treble to your ears. Make a small hole or drill a surface mount plastic door is no big deal for a big improvement, you will not find a better sounding series of compounds at twice the price. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. T. speakers review Janzen product works well for my application. Replaced factory speakers in a 94 Mustang convertible well. Sounds good with a small amplifier. A lot of accessories and hardware to fit the need. Enjoy. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Good upgrade the factory speakers, Keith Oliver, I installed them on the front doors on my 2004 Tacoma Double Cab with factory radio. This truck comes with a tweeter mounted separately on the panel above the door. Adapters are included to install the subwoofer 5.25 to a montage of 6x8. The tweeter comes with many options for mounting bracket. The intersections are not easily adjustable wire. All mounted without cutting into the door panels, which was my objective is clear, crisp sound. Tweeters can be a little brighter, so some adjustments to the acute unit head may be necessary. So far I am very happy with the results. See all 4 customer reviews ....
