By Dane Shepherd I replaced two pairs of Infinity Reference "shallow mount" 6.5 "speakers with two pairs of these components. Wow, wow, wow just! Run by an Alpine head unit, they turned my car into a recording studio. All writes about" hearing things in your music you never heard ", but: Some live tracks (like Dave Matthews or John Meyer), you people in the audience coughing, or talking lightly, you can hear all the details of their fingers to hear a slip guitar. string. Depths to the base that I never noticed. I tried to listen to entire songs and just focus on one instrument or background vocalist. they are great. I ordered this during an Infinity 4 x 75 watt amplifier , and almost not install it all sounded so good. Step good sound - fresh and clean by Michael Sellers Infinity has hit the mark with this set of components. I have installed about a month ago and I could not be happier. The first installation, I connected the tweeter-3dB cross connection to stem the high light. After listening to a week, I changed my treble back to 0dB switch to a more balanced sound. If you have a subwoofer, and you like bass, you will need all the tweeters can be achieved. I used the stock speaker was for a while, but when I heard it first hand amplifier connected to a 4-channel 400 watts, I was amazed at the clarity, volume, and the warm, bright tone. Easy installation, easy navigation, excellent sound, great flexibility by Nathan Andersen for my '99 Toyota Camry, I was still running the original factory-installed cassette / FM / AM receiver. I was going for a while to upgrade to something that CDs and MP3s to play with a USB input and auxiliary. This does the trick. It delivers excellent sound quality, even from my speakers original factory settings. I never thought I could such large and clear sound from the speakers of the age. I know you can configure with an amplifier and subwoofers, but the setup I have now is exactly what I need the songs that make my life drive to play. It automatically detects when I plug my iPod or iPhone and instantly changes the way the item, same for when I pop in a CD, and it begins playing immediately. Of course, I can change the mode back to what I wanted and leave the CD or iPod on standby, I do not really need to connect additional audio, for not having tried. One nice feature is that you can control your iPod directly from your stereo - using joystick-like knob on the volume and the main controller. E 'for the most intuitive, but I found I had to read the manual to find out exactly how it works. The fact that the master control knob controls almost all of this means that it will take some getting used to before the operation of this receiver is intuitively easy as it feels like my old man. The included remote is a bit "more intuitive and works mostly as an old CD / iPod player from a distance. You can play almost anything with this, both through the iPod or what is burned to a CD: MP3, WMA and AAC. There is also a "Sound Retriever" feature that seems to sound "bigger" when playing compressed audio formats like MP3. I was streaming from Pandora on my iPhone while driving, and the sound did not seem as clear as regular audio files, but "Sound Retriever" function seems clear that a bit is making a noticeable difference when I play MP3 files I've burned a CD. The tone of everything seems better than before - probably because of the new 50W amplifier for each speaker - a clean sound at high volume as I was able to cope with my original recipient. Sure, you can use the radio with him and you can preset up to six stations per band (which will, among three "different" can change the FM band - that is, to establish up to three different sets of favorite FM station - and 1:00-band). You can switch to easily switch between these pre-sets, either by pressing up or down the volume button or by pressing the number of pre-sets. If you're traveling, you can use it for the six "best quality" on the lookout for the local stations and they are automatically in the settings. The "Super Tuner IIID" actually works as promised - which includes more stations clearly, and also clean the sound of some of my old favorites that sounds better than ever took a while to install. It was fitting that it was a bit tricky, because it is a bit wider than my music, assembly, and is not adjusted when I had my factory mounts of existence. I have a sub-controllers 52 (peak) x 4, and they respond damn good and still have a lot of bass for the size. Unfortunately, my car does not allow to shine those babies, so I invested into an amplifier. I know it will be raging on the second night and modernization days since I replaced my factory speakers. I recommend this. Edit: I am now feeding at 80 watts per channel (4 channels and a separate sub to another amp). You rock the house. The ups and downs are much sharper and clearer to go with a low hit my factory system well without an amp also. After reading many reviews and comparing different speakers, the Alpines are the way to go. It was not only based on price (which was great by the way), but also the reputation and quality. Installation was simple and took only about one hour to install four speakers for front and rear doors. (This included removing and reinstalling the door panels), no need to use copper speaker) I went to a local car stereo installer and he wanted around $ 100 dollars, with a waiting time of four hours. Save your money and how you google for your specific vehicle door panels to remove and you can hear a better sound with your factory or aftermarket system. I recommend it. Great sound from small speakers of the PT Cruiser I bought these speakers for my home theater system consisting of Yamaha RX-V663BL 665 Watt 7.1-channel home theater receiver and Velodyne DEQ-10R 10-inch Subwoofer (Black) I had no floor space large speakers for the many doors and other furniture in the room, but was afraid that these speakers would not be powerful enough for our living room / kitchen combination form. It's like a double room on one side and kitchen on the second, which covers about 42 x 24 meters. There are many windows and doors, a one page that makes the room an acoustic nightmare. We have the rear speakers are placed about halfway back, the length of the room. But I should not worry because these speakers do a fantastic job, despite its small size. I bought Mirage MS-STB-1 Nanosat speakers are black for the front and the rear to the wall with brackets that hung on the first night we installed the entire system, including, I realized I bought the wrong Y-connector to the subwoofer to connect my receiver, we had to watch a movie without him. The sound from these speakers is very good, even without a subwoofer. Compared with Bose satellite speakers I had before, they were much better. I realized why I could not hear because the volume is too low and we only had audio of what is said in the movies, but because the sound was not as sharp as it is with these speakers. I could turn the sound down and still hear the conversation. The sound was also great when we have the volume. There was a movie with a plane passing through the screen and my sister was upstairs and said it looked like the plane was going across the room, under the floor, said he could feel the vibration of the floor . (This was the next day with a subwoofer is connected). The sound was surprisingly realistic. There was a scene in the film where it has opened a door at the bottom left where the speaker is moved. The door looked like the door of our family room and I was surprised, because I thought someone had opened the door. These speakers really make you feel like you're in the middle of the film and not just watching. With the old Bose system (which I thought looked great at the moment) I'd like to hear the sound from the speakers, most of the time. Raza I bought this set of columns from the Amazon Marketplace in May 2009 and connected to my Denon receiver. Certainly gave a better performance compared to my old Sony (a set of cheap) speakers. However, in November, the center speaker started to sound muffled. I could barely hear the dialogue from the film Blue Thunder. I contacted the sellers and they sent me to the manufacturers. My experience with them was not very nice. Manufacturers eventually referred me to a service center contractors who were very unprofessional. The bottom line is that after paying more than $ 700 on a set of speakers, we get a quality performance. I do not normally write reviews but these speakers deserve a response! I was on a train back from town, and I had some car magazine and saw this on them. Later, in an ordered set, along with some adapter brackets so they could go in the front doors of my 96 Explorer (usually 6x8 "Speakers lasts). Let me tell you, these speakers were the best buy I ever made! The The sound quality is amazing too, I have to run a 800 watt sound storm force and later fired. Very high, but very clear! The height is shiny and smooth as silk and there are actually some very good deep mid-bass! It's like a one-day break in period because I have connected the first day they would cut the tweeters too quickly, but after the next few days, never the cut! I've heard Alpine Type S and R components, and some other Infinity and Kicker components and these components EFX speakers blow the others out of the water! Base is black and sufficiently weighted to prevent tipping stands. Poles are silver to match the color of my speakers. It is not mentioned in the description, but there are two stands per box. I would have given 5 stars but a stand was a small notch on the corner where the paint scraped off. No big deal, because this will sit in a corner without being seen. Bringing together several different mounts many types of speakers. My speakers can screw directly into the spine, but the screws were too long. I had to use washers to space. Universal Speaker stand. Designed to fit 3 lb surround speakers with standard size mounting holes on back. I listened to classical music since I was 7 years old and played bass and drums in a band. So I usually pay attention to the background rhythm and percussion. I replaced the stock speakers in my 2010 Nissan Altima rear them, and the door speakers with Pioneer TS-D1602R (full set of Pioneer D-Series speakers in the car). I could not believe the sound quality and detail I missed before. These speakers deliver clear, crisp sound in the midrange and highs and lows hit really deep. Everything I have is a 22 watt / channel HU and I do not think a receiver now that I can hear such details. Dynam sound I wanted on my dead-tensioners and rear door, and I know that this also contributed to the sound quality. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful. The magnet is very large and can be a lot of power, but I'm with them for about 75 RMS and they sound good. It is much better than a kind of two-way, because it can see a built-in crossover you are actually doing when he performs as a speaker to communicate. Over all I give it four stars because it could be something better in the midrange. It seems that the highs are very, big bottom, the mids are a little confused. I'm usually moored in close proximity to other boats and keep the volume at a reasonable level. These speakers fit the bill. The sound quality is much better than the original speakers that came with the boat. The installation took about 1-1.5 hours per speaker, as I had the hole in the fiberglass enlarge. Darryl Pierce, I had these installed in a Honda Accord the 2011th I did not specifically ask them to audition these speakers or before you install. (1 error) I just knew I had to go to the factory speakers. I just told the dealer to put audio only in some of the speakers, as they have done really well for my Explorer. (They have installed a JL Audio speaker at the time) I paid 79.00 for these installation +. In fact, the only way I knew was Powerbase speakers have been left in the box in the car after installation. When I saw "Made in China", my curiosity got the better of me, so I researched online, I should have done before, but anyway, I still would have been fine with these speakers other than the price I paid. So far the speakers, while a marked improvement over the OEM factory, the sound is not improved dramatically with the exception of certain types of music. ( (Classical, jazz), they are very bright, which means that the high end and mid-range is great, but they tend to be a hollow bass sound, I think maybe, just the walls of the Honda. Honda does not seem the door, use the company as a whole and have a small case, just to separate the speakers, so most of your bass from the subwoofer on the aft deck. Overall, the speaker simply itnitial OK in the listening test. They seem not to distort at high volume and did I mention they are really brilliant. I can actually hear some of the digital artifacts that appear in occaisionally to compressed music. I had to the highs of up to 1 turn, it was set at 3 with speakers from the factory. Bass had to be increased to + 1-0. The subwoofer was a changed from -1 to compensate for the lack of low-mid-Baas. It is also not the most effective speaker, you can buy. 88dB is the lower end of the little car speakers. 90-91 is what I would have looked like, because I've done the research first 88 would be nice if you are a head unit or amplifier with a higher power. Although Honda radio is at 270 watts, divided by the nominal 6 speakers and a sub. The subgroup will probably take about 90 to 100 of the 270th I'm really on a long road trip in a few weeks and will be able to hear a lot of music on the trip. Note: not accept OEM loudspeaker connectors. Just cut the connectors from the old OEM speakers, soldering new wires on old speakers, connect your speakers! I bought these speakers on the stock Infinity speakers to replace the already in the vehicle. They are easy to install and even better sounding than the stock used. I'm so glad that I have this as a replacement. 3 of 3 people found this review helpful. Sounding out of the box size and even better if you add an amplifier. With Pacman I bought a set of these six months on the front of the factory Dodge Infinity speakers, to replace the blown in my Durango. I've just installed and maintained the factory amp and do not install the supplied crossover. They sounded pretty good (high were much better than the factory tweeter), but lacked the bottom end unless pressed the volume up. Not a big problem, because I also have a small subwoofer, but it was noticeable. If the back of my pair of Infinity plant died, I buy a few of these and this time the crossovers installed to the front and back and added an aftermarket amp (Kicker ZX3504, 90 watts per channel amplifier). What a difference! The sound came to life. The lower these are great and I almost do not need the sub (almost. .. these speakers sound good to about 80Hz and then fall very rapidly, my sub is good for the lower frequencies and I have the crossover set to 80Hz for this). Still, all the way to 80Hz is really good for 6 inch door speakers! Of course, great big doors Durango probably helps! Anyway, if you get for your vehicle, and you want them to sound their best, you really support them with an aftermarket amplifier and use the supplied crossover. I just installed these Elgin today in my 1990 4runner front door speaker spacers and bought were not needed. Connected to an amp orion cobalt 600.4 wow these things hit! I read some reviews that say they have no low that's crazy! These little things are much smaller and medium-high! Perhaps critics of the past is not enogh power to them. I also have a new pair of Boston Acoustic 06/09 these things blow them out of the water in every way! So time to get rid of them and get another pair of these! Achieving these you will be happy! I can not wait to hear how they sound in one month, after a pause in the middle period! 29 September 9 Update just had a couple installed in the back and all I have to say is WOW! As I said before I had Boston Acoustic S95 06/09 in boxes and just can not hang with them! You can get away without a sub with these! My intention was to replace the entire piece by piece at the factory sound system, but when I installed these speakers that I realized I needed to change my car radio or add an amplifier. These speakers sound perfect with the factory HU. Can I turn the volume up and HU Polk can handle without distortion when I installed it I had a hard sound to burst, but I realized that the factory was still connected to the subwoofer. Since the Sub unplug the sound was perfect! These speakers pick up the bass perfectly, so I decided not to add a sub at all. The sound quality is not competitive, but most of what I need. Perfect full-range speaker for the average listener. The purchase of these speakers has saved me a lot of money to replace the rest of my system. Polk, thanks! I also replaced the original radio because the CD was dependent on jump and these speakers to replace a JVC radio. Wow, what a difference. Customer more useful to 4 of 4 people found this review helpful. Best speakers I've owned a still Whirledtraveller 2001 Honda Insight ... tiny car. The stock sound system is probably the worst sound system ever installed in a car factory since the 70s. Seriously. So I put a solid improvement in Odyssey of the budget and these speakers are the last step that really works. My first step when I arrived the car was to replace the speakers in the door (paper!) with a pair of Pioneer coaxial. Inexpensive, but fell to the right and has helped a lot. But the sound was still decidedly low-fi. So I replaced the radio with a dual-drive for sale at Best Buy. He received good reviews for sound quality and had a lot of bells and whistles for the money. Significant improvement in the sound, but something was still missing. I added a Kicker 8 in the "L5 in a personalized box with 300 watt amp. Very nice improvement in the low end, but the sound was still missing. For the most part seemed to be high is high and muddy, while Tinny, harsh. It was a horrible kind of loud, made me cringe at times, and I'm not a snob sound. I could not take it. Lower high goods just made music without acute. I wondered if it was resonant of my doors to make such a terrible sound. So I took the doors apart and put in sound-absorbing material. It made no difference. Eventually I went to Best Buy and tested all the speakers were on display. These components Alpine seemed the best for me, mostly high just seemed easier for everyone else, and they were on sale for very cheap. The installation was a bit "complicated, both for separate tweeters, and why the speaker has a magnet store. It is also required use of supplied adapter ring and a good portion of cutting child and dremelling cups speakers to get everything to fit. The" Guide " included (only on the back of the box) was not much help in this regard. But nothing mechanically inclined should be able to solve it once was, could not use the shares of Honda Speaker Adapter Ring cover because the speakers actually stick out too far. But bolts and screws are not included screws long enough to use both the speaker grille of the Alps and the adapter ring ... Well, a trip to the hardware store for screws and speaker at last started. Anyway, it was worth. The sound is, frankly, to my ears, good. Of course I have not tried any $ 500 speakers or something, but I can say is 10 times better than the Pioneer Coax. I know because I just installed a first speaker and was alternately left and right. These sound like an Alpine stereo, the sound of pioneers like a transistor radio by comparison. I can hear the Alpine to a much larger volume, because it still sounds smooth. Beautiful picture, nice and balanced high and low, tight bass, no more shreaking. Having the tweeters higher rather than actually help your knee only problem now is that I want another amp! Can I drive my 17 watt RMS unit head and the speakers of course much more. It is certainly too high before I cut, bigger than I should listen, so I did not need an amp ... I just want one. Anyway, my advice if you are just looking for a good sound, relatively cheap start here. Do not be like me and end up here. Speakers are the most important part of your stereo and you should not save, but you do not spend a fortune. These are the older models and they are excluded they can be very cheap, but they are still very good speakers. I do not know how they compare to the real high end stuff, but if you do that kind of money burning a hole in your pocket you're probably not reading this review. I've run these components for about 6 months now, and now feel more comfortable as a check I gave them a pretty decent "break in" period. I have mounted in the front doors of my sedan. The doors are acoustic damping (Stinger Roadkill), speakers are sitting on a 3 / 4 "PVC plastic spacer with gaskets on both sides. The power amp is a Soundstream Rubicon pushing 100W per channel into 4 ohms. Receiver Kenwood a 4V power kicker with the X RCA goes to the amplifier. Pros: Good price Decent Performance - Bass and treble on average, the sound quality is average, adjustable crossover - attenuation and boost on or off axis settings high quality at high volumes Disadvantages: impressive Woofer seem low quality oddly shaped bottom basket = range of mounting challenges, accompanying tweeter mounts are almost useless because the location of the soldered terminals, speaker wire to the tweeter, you risk to release / disconnect from the tweeter to try to use one of those warehouses. The terminals are positioned on either side and allows treble sinker is wider than it really depends on the wire protruding. Finally I stick to my stock sail panels because they do not want to deviate too far from stock appearance. I had previously Polk db6501 components in my previous car, with the same amplifier and receiver and it sounded even more beautiful than Rockford. They compare with the Power Series T2, there is a big difference. The woofer is quite fragile and had spread plastic on the back of the surround in the T2-T1 The tweeters are made of a material of superior quality compared to T1 as well. For the price, it's a decent company. Hands down better than an OEM speaker. Speakers arguably better can be had for money. The $ 399 price is a bit ridiculous, at best these columns a few $ 190. If you really want to Rockford I suggest to go with the T2 series (Power T2652-S), which can be bought for little more through other online retailers. I would not buy this set again.
